FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about funding options, requirements, timing, and cost.

What types of funding does Newport Capital Ventures offer?

Merchant cash advances, working capital, business lines of credit up to $300,000, term loans, equipment financing, and MCA consolidation.

How long does the process take?

The application takes about two minutes. Decisions can come in as little as 2 hours, often the same day, and approved businesses can be funded as soon as the next business day.

What are the requirements?

Most programs require 6 or more months in business, $15,000 or more in monthly revenue deposited into a business bank account, and a credit score of 500 or higher. Businesses must operate in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.

Will applying affect my credit score?

No. Pre-qualification uses a soft credit review. A hard credit check may occur only if you choose to move forward with a finalized offer.

Am I obligated to accept an offer?

No. Reviewing your options is free and there is no obligation to accept funding.

What documents do I need?

Your application and your last 3 to 4 months of business bank statements are usually enough to receive an offer. A driver’s license and voided check are needed before funding.

How are payments made?

Payments are made by automatic ACH debit from your business bank account on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, depending on the product.

Is a merchant cash advance a loan?

No. A merchant cash advance is a purchase of a portion of your future receivables. Term loans, lines of credit, and equipment financing are loan products.
